Subhash Kapoor who is known for his hit film Jolly LLB was accused by Geetika Tyagi of sexual assault. Geetika recorded Subhash’s confession in front of his wife and filed an FIR at Versova Police Station. Subhash was fined INR Ten Thousand. When Subhash’s name surfaced in the Me Too movement Amir Khan withdrew his name from the film to take a stand against sexual misconduct and then published a statement with his wife.
Geetika Tyagi in a statement to the online publication said that “Subhash is getting hired back but nobody from their end reached out to me.”
Many accused of Me Too movement have been given clean cheat due to lack of evidence, and those who are still under trail are hired back. However, the women who raised their voices are shunned by the industry and are left to fight the battle on their own.
