If you are planning to watch this film with family or with friends for the entertainment purpose then sorry this film is not for you.
Story- The story is about Baldev Pratap Singh a politician (Sanjay Dutt) who has extreme power and his two sons. One is his stepson Ayush (Ali Fazal) and other is his own son Vivaan (Satyajeet Dubey). Sanjay Dutt wanted to give his power and position to his stepson, Ayush because he is sensible and mature and his own son Vivaan is senseless and immature. Vivaan is against Ayush because he wants that power and position. Then the film continues with some shocking twist and turn.
Acting- Sanjay Dutt did a great job, but Ali Fazal is a big surprise package for the audience with his fantastic acting he just won the audience heart. Jackie shroff managed to create Jaggu Dada magic again, Manisha Koirala was good enough. Chunky Pandey is enjoying the negative character to play, and with each film he is improving himself. and Amyra Dastur was just a glamour factor to pull the audience unnecessary input.
Music- This film have 4 songs and all the songs are boring.
Directions- As we all know Prasthanam is the remake of Telugu film Prasthanam so even the director was same, Deva tries to make better things more simple than his original film, somehow he managed it. But unnecessary input of song and music made the film quite boring.
Prasthanam is a typical political film, which shows the dark side of the politician’s nothing new concept. And it’s a one-time watch film if you are a fan of Sanjay Dutt, Ali Zazal, Jaagu Dada or if you like politics.
