STORY BY MEGHNA CHAKRABORTY
Salman Khan, who is currently busy shooting for Dabaang 3, took on social media this morning to share the first look from ‘Bharat’. Salman Khan has already teased his audience with two teasers of Bharat and this is the first time when Salman Khan is shown full grey, with a promise of much color full journey.
In the poster, Salman is in the look of an old man with grey hair, mustache, and overgrown beard and framed spectacles. The poster has 2010 and JOURNEY OF A MAN AND A NATION TOGETHER mentioned over it that suggests there is something very important related to 2010 either the story begins there or it marks the most important phase of Bharat’s life.
In the foreground of the poster, we can see a collage of people running around with Jackie Shroff, his wife Sonali Kulkarni and kids which gives the feel of a major event of India to be said through the movie. Salman wrote on social media, “Jitne safed baal mere sar aur dhaadi mein hain, usse kahin zyada rangeen meri zindagi rahi hain! #Bharat.”
The producer Atul Agnihotri had earlier said, “It’s the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat. That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with Bharat.”
Bharat is the official adaptation of South Korean film Ode to My Father (2014) directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who has previously worked with Salman and Katrina in the 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai. Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, and Aashif Sheikh will also be seen in important roles. Produced by T-Series and Salman Khan Films, the trailer will release on April 24.
